Fast-healing finger plasters - Urgo

Their hydrocolloid technology creates a moist environment around the wound, promoting rapid healing. Like a second skin, URGO Fast Healing plasters protect the wound and discreetly relieve pain . Thanks to their ergonomic shape, they stay in place for several days and are removed painlessly.

Instructions for use:

Must be applied by an adult for those under 16 years of age.

1. Clean and disinfect the wound and surrounding area with an antiseptic solution (alcohol-free). Stop any bleeding and dry with a sterile compress.
2. Open the sachet and take out the bandage. Warm the bandage between your hands to make it more pliable.
3. Remove the first protective flap without touching the central adhesive part of the dressing and place the hydrocolloid dressing centered over the wound. The wound must be completely covered by the hydrocolloid dressing (central part, cream to ochre in color).
4. Remove the second wing by carefully smoothing and pressing the edges of the dressing to increase adhesion.

The dressing should not remain in place for more than 2 to 3 days; it should be removed if it has not come off on its own. Change the dressing according to the instructions. The average treatment duration is 6-8 days.

Precautions:

• Do not stretch the dressing when applying it; do not cut
• Single-use dressing, do not reposition the dressing once applied and do not reuse the same dressing (risk of infection).
• In case of sticky hydrocolloid residue on the skin, soaking in water is recommended: the adhesive will swell, lose its stickiness and detach.
• Do not apply a dressing or remove the dressing already applied and consult a doctor:

– in case of worsening of the wound or lack of improvement within 6 days of treatment,

– in case of signs of infection (redness, pain, heat, swelling around the wound, pus, etc.)

– In case of foreign bodies in the wound, significant bleeding, a bite, or a puncture with a sharp and/or contaminated object

– or in case of doubt or discomfort.

• Diabetic patients are advised to use hydrocolloid dressings only under medical or nursing supervision.
• For any facial wound, it is recommended for aesthetic reasons to seek medical advice.
• Do not use these dressings for more than 30 consecutive days.
• Keep the dressings in their original box.
• Do not use after the expiry date (indicated on the box and sachet)

Contraindications:

• Contraindicated on infected wounds, burns, on wounds at risk of superinfection (especially wounds older than 24 hours).
• Contraindicated for arterial foot.
• Contraindicated for infected diabetic foot.
